Made from reclaimed red cedar wood and copper this shadow box sculpture is not only beautiful but ecologically conscious. Created by Coast Salish artist ShainJackson this raven with the sun in his beak reflects the dynamism of Raven and his epic legends.  

The Raven is the transformer and the creator, Raven placed the sun and moon in the sky so the world would have light and also put the trees on land and fish in water. This primordial creature opened the clamshell to release the first man. He is known for his knowledge, trickery and creativity.

Shain Jackson is a Coast Salish artist from the First Nation community of Sechelt. He is also a lawyer who has represented Aboriginal communities throughout British Columbia.  Shain is the President of Spirit Works Limited, an Indigenous owned, operated and staffed company focused on the design, production and distribution of Indigenous artwork.

Each pendant comes in a sleek black box with a certificate of authenticity, information of the design and a biography of the artist. The design, it's symbolism and artist name are also carved into the back of the pendant. Each Leather cord is adjustable.
