KALKÁY (Wild Rose) Facial Oil by Sḵwálwen Botanicals
KALKÁY (call-kay) is the Squamish word for wild rose bush.
"Made with hand-harvested wild rosehips and organic sweet almond and jojoba oils, this bestselling facial oil absorbs quickly while deeply hydrating the skin. The anti-inflammatory properties of rose help reduce redness and irritation. This oil feels light on the skin and leaves it super soft and nourished. The rose scent is incredible!" - SB
Sḵwálwen Botanicals is an Indigenous Owned and Operated Company founded by ethnobotanist Styawat (Leigh Joseph). Sḵwálwen (skwall-a-win) translates to “heart” or “essence of being” in the Squamish language. This name was chosen to represent the inspiration behind the business: building connections to the land through working with plants in a way that feeds one’s heart and spirit. Their Indigenous skincare line incorporates respectfully harvested botanicals, organic oils, nourishing plant-derived butters and steam distilled essential oils. Their products are handmade in small batches on the Unceded Ancestral and Traditional Territories of the Skwxẃu7mesh (Squamish) First Nation.
