Hand made by Kwakwaka'wakw artist Ross Henderson in glorious red cedar these miniature paddles are definitively West Coast!

Octopus represents transformation. Commonly referred to as Devilfish, the Octopus is a secondary crest figure but is central to many myths along the Northwest Coast. The Octopus has close links to shamanism and transformation symbolism due to its ability to change colour and shape.

The Wolf  can be considered a symbol of leadership and intelligence.  The wolf people shows us strength in relationships and the importance of strong family values.  Wolves live and hunt in packs or family groups.

The Hummingbird is the joyful messenger and a symbol of health. When a Hummingbird appears, healing will follow.

The Eagle is a symbol of pride and friendship. Eagle feathers are given as gifts to symbolize honour and respect for accomplishments and displays of courage and wisdom. Because Eagles mate for life, they are also admired for their long term commitments.

Dimensions: 24" x 6"

Materials: Red Cedar, Acrylic
